Great things are happening at Grace Church. A few months ago, the Lord impressed Carol Scobey to contact our “neighbors” at The Park Apartments less than two miles down Shelby Drive from our church. It has been a great joy to reach out to the people who live in those 600 apartments with the greatest news of all---Jesus loves them!!! He truly cares about them!! And He wants to spend eternity with them. It has been our great privilege to minister to those families through cookouts, Bible studies and simply sharing Jesus with them. It’s such a joy to work with the awesome people here at Grace---being the “hands of Jesus” outstretched to those who are lost and dying without the love of Jesus. May we continued to shine the love of Jesus, be the aroma of Christ, and sprinkle the salt of His salvation plan as we walk through our days. The rewards are truly out of this world!!!
Do you want to experience ultimate joy? Share the LOVE OF JESUS with someone!! Then pray with them to RECEIVE CHRIST AS HIS OR HER PERSONAL SAVIOR! Watch as “…old things pass away and all things become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17) Jesus’ final words---a promise and a command--- to all of us are still our mandate today. “…You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) He was not speaking just to those gathered around Him that day. Our Lord was looking ahead in time to you, to me, to all of us---commanding (not suggesting) that we SHALL BE HIS WITNESSES---starting in our “Jerusalem”---the person(s) at our elbows---wherever we might be.
The world is lost, hungry and dying---WITHOUT JESUS!! Our loved ones, neighbors, co-workers, fellow students, friends, etc--- all of them need Jesus! He is the only Source of true, lasting, eternal peace and joy. So---If you want to be happy---Give the GOOD NEWS of the ages to those around you. They will be eternally grateful---SO glad you did!!
